It’s a beautiful Thursday again and we delve together into the scriptures for some teachings!!!
Psalms 82:5 They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course.
Psalms 82:6 I have said, Ye [are] gods; and all of you [are] children of the most High.
Psalms 82:7 But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.
In the Gospel of John, Chapter 10 from verse 31, the children of Israel thought that Jesus had uttered blasphemy when he said He and His Father (i.e the Almighty God) were one. They were so angry that they picked up stones to kill him.
But Jesus was surprised and asked the purpose for which they wanted to stone him: they replied that it was because he tried to equate himself to the most High. But Jesus replied:
John 10:34-35 “Know ye not that Ye are gods?…And if He (God) called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the Scripture CANNOT be broken.”
Wow!!!! That’s a powerful statement. Jesus was telling them that they themselves were gods but didn’t know it. This buttresses the first scripture that there are many ignorant gods walking around as men.
